Tulane Core EM Rotation

The Core Emergency Medicine Clerkship is a required 2-week rotation in the UMC Emergency Department for all Tulane medical students. This rotation is designed to be useful for all students, regardless of what specialty they intend to pursue. Our aim is to provide you with the tools necessary to quickly recognize and assess the undifferentiated critically ill patient, and teach you practical skills to assist in any emergency.

Weekly didactics, and hands-on skills sessions and simulation labs provide students with the ability to increase their knowledge base and procedural acumen.

Please review the TULANE HANDBOOK for the rotation description, expectations, and requirements.
